Hello, my name is Jerome Streety and I am from Chicago, IL. I was raised on the South Side of town in the Grove Heights Community. I enjoyed playing football and basketball at Gately Park, which was nearby. I graduated from Dunbar Vocational Career Academy. In High school, I gained interest in Radio/TV broadcasting because it was something new and exciting. My hobbies include music, video games, watching and playing sports, cooking, and exercising. My favorite music group of all time is Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who are famous for their song Crossroads. I enjoy playing video games on my PS3 game console. A few of my favorite games are NBA2k, and CallofDuty. Watching basketball and football games are relaxing after a long day of work. I love all my Chicago sports teams but my two favorite are the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Bears. My favorite food dishes to cook are lasagna and chili. I have been told by some of my friends and family, my cooking was the best they have tasted. I make my food with healthier ingredients such as whole wheat pasta, organic tomato sauce/paste, ground turkey, and low fat shredded cheese. I am trying to live a healthy lifestyle and have been exercising regularly for the past couple of years. I have a gym membership at the YMCA Rauner where I try to workout 3-4 days a week. My career goals are to work in the field of TV Production. I am currently a Media Communication student at Kennedy-King College where I am studying Television and Internet Production. The Media Communications degree offers a wide variety of job titles which includes director, producer, sound engineering, cameraman, on-air personality, and stage producer. I really hope to land a position somewhere in this field. I have chosen this program as a way to get started doing what I love to do. My theme for this post is my introduction for where I started, and where I would like to be in a few years.
